The Judicial authority of the Altai Republic is carried out only with court in
order and forms approved with the Constitution of the Russian Federation and federal
laws. Its organization and activity are also approved with federal laws.
The Judicial authority of the Altai Republic consists of:
The Supreme Court of the Altai Republic;
Arbitration court of the Altai Republic;
Urban, region courts;
The Court of the Peace.
A Constitutional Court of the Altai Republic can be formed for reviewing problems
about laws correspondence, normative legal acts of institutions of state governing,
institutions of local governing to the Constitution and laws of the Russian
Federation, Constitution and laws of the Altai Republic, and also for explanation
of the Constitution of the Altai Republic and republican laws.
Legal proceedings of the Altai Republic are carried out in state languages
of the Altai Republic.
Judges are inviolable and irremovable. They can not be appointed on other
post or in other court without their consent.
Authorities of judges can be terminated or paused according to the order approved
with federal laws.
The Supreme Court of the Altai Republic, Arbitration Court of the Altai Republic,
Urban and Region Courts, judges of the Peace
The Supreme Court of the Altai Republic is the superior republican court of
justice on civil, criminal, administrative and other legal cases, and realizes
judicial supervision behind the activity of other republican courts according
to the federal laws.
The Arbitration Court of the Altai Republic is the superior republican court
of justice realizing justice on economic and other legal cases, which are subordinated
to arbitration courts.
The competence, order of organization and activity of the Supreme Court of the
Altai Republic and Arbitration Court of the Altai Republic are approved with
federal laws.
Legal cases about correspondence of the Constitution of the Altai Republic,
laws of the Altai Republic, normative legal acts of state institutions, and
institutions of local governing of the Altai Republic are considered with the
Supreme Court of the Altai Republic and Arbitration Court of the Altai Republic
according to their competence.
Judges of the Peace consider civil, administrative and criminal cases as the
trial court.
