 There was, for the first time in a history of the Altai Republic, a Day of a regional deputy. It was held in the Shebalinsky region of the republic. Main purpose of this measure is analysis of problems of rural settlements at the local level. Not only deputies of the Shebalinsky region, but also deputies of the State Assembly-El Kurultai of the Altai Republic from the Shebalinsky region participated in this measure, which was held in two stages. The first stage is visiting of five groups of different villages and the second stage is totaling of the measure.
Deputies visited all basic organizations of settlements, associated with workers and inhabitants, who told about the sorest subjects. After two days of activity, deputies totaled the work, drew a plan of measures, which will be considered during the next session. One plans to hold a meeting with representatives of business structures with a purpose of their attraction to public work.
One also plans to hold such Day of regional deputy annually. It will allow participants of measure to receive real information about regional problems and more effectively to allot budget funds taking into consideration urgency and significance of existing problems.
