 In June 25, 2010, the Head of the Altai Republic, Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Alexander Berdnikov held a meeting concerning preparatory measures and carrying out of inter-regional holiday of Altai people "El Oyin -2010", dedicated to 140th anniversary of Gregory Choros-Gurkin. This year, a holiday El Oyin will pass in July 15-18 in the Elo village of the Ongudaysky region of the Altai Republic in a traditional place - Kabaylu-Mezhelik valley. A program of a holiday consist of a parade of participants, dramatized show, vast competitive program, performances of creative collectives of the republic, concert of masters of arts and visitors of a holiday, exhibitions, sport competitions in national kinds of sport and so on.
A chairman of the committee, first vice chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Jury Antaradonov informed about preparatory measures of a holiday. He said that all measures are conducting according to plan. A scenario of a cultural program is elaborated and approved. Organizing questions of sport competitions in 13 kinds of sport are solved; a prize-winning fund is formed. Besides, a long-distance race (12 kilometers) for a prize of the Head of the Altai Republic is planned; a winner of this race will receive an automobile VAZ -2107.
According to official returns of the ministry of economic development of the Altai Republic, there will be 105 trade outlets, including 50 trade outlets of catering in El Oyin. Sale of alcoholic drinks will be prohibited.
During a meeting, one also considered questions of enforcement of law and security.
An organizing committee considered questions of rendering of medical care, checkup of production quality by sanitarian services.
