In June, the consumer price index in the Altai Republic amounted to 101.1% of previous month. Most of all food commodities have risen in price - 102.4%. Prices for industrial goods and services grew at rates significantly less than - 100.1% and 100.4% respectively. A growth of price index for food commodities has affected mainly rise in prices for fruits and vegetables (116.2%) and alcohol (102.4%).

êàðòà ñàéòà | | |  The day before yesterdayin the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting "About improvement of sustainability of residential buildings, basic objects and life-support systems in seismic regions of the Russian Federation". The meeting was attended by the head of the ministry of regional development of the Russian Federation Oleg Govorun, the head of the ministry of emergency situations Vladimir Puchkov, the head of the ministry of transport Maxim Sokolov and other members of the Russian government, heads of the regions concerned, as well as representatives from business and academia. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Altai Republic Alexander Berdnikov.

Young athletes from Moscow and St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Ufa and Vladikavkaz and other cities in Russia (including, of course, the Gorno-Altaisk city), as well as from Ust-Kamenogorsk of Kazakhstan in last weekend overcame a difficult slalom route near the Manzherokskiy threshold in the Katun River. About two hundred of the best slalomists under the age of 17 years gathered in the Altai Republic to participate in the Championship of Russia.

A quantity of tourists to the Altai Republic in the first five months of the current year, according to the ministry of tourism of the Altai Republic in comparison with the same period of 2011 has increased in 5% (280 000 tourists in 2012 and 260,000 in 2011). In June of this year, tourist objects of the Altai Republic demonstrated an occupancy rate of 100% in weekends and 80% in weekdays, which allows calculating upon increasing of tourists quantity in 2012 in 10-12% compared to data of 2011.

êàðòà ñàéòà | | |  In May 30, 2012, an airplane "Airbus A-320" of the airline "Siberia" carried out the first direct flight on the route "Moscow - Gorno-Altaisk -Moscow". Flight time is four hours. A solemn ceremony dedicated to the opening of regular flights between Moscow and the Altai Republic was attended by the Head of the Altai Republic Alexander Berdnikov, chairman of the State Assembly-El Kurultai of the Altai Republic Ivan Belekov, president of the public corporation "Sibmost" Albert Koshkin, chief representative of the airline "Siberia" in the Siberian region, Eduard Pushnenko , chairmen of ministries and departments of the Altai Republic, representatives of the public.

êàðòà ñàéòà | | |  A sport festival "Uymon-2012" will be hold in June 12 in the Ust-Koksinsky region of the Altai Republic. The basic purpose of this marathon, as in previous years is the development of athletics in Altai, popularization of super marathon running and healthy lifestyle, improving of sport skills, popularization of active measures for the protection of the environment. Competitions will be hold in the individual event at a distance of 75, 65 and 33 km; in the team event as a relay race at a distance of 65 km. Control time in the super marathon is eight hours. Start of races and bicycle races will be hold in the Ust-Koksa village in the central square and in the Multa village, finish - in the central square of the Ust-Koksa village.

Students of regional children art school won the VIII International Competition-Festival "The Sea Sun Festival" which was taken place in Spain. On behalf of the Government of the Altai Republic, guys and their leader was congratulated by Minister of Culture of the Altai Republic Vladimir Konchev.

êàðòà ñàéòà | | |  15 years ago, in June 7, 1997, during the twenty-first session of the State Assembly - El Kurultai of the Altai Republic, deputies voted for adoption of the Constitution of the Altai Republic. Thus, a status of the republic was secured as a legally independent subject of the Russian Federation. The Constitution of the Republic of Altai of 1997 is a juridical basis of the current national legislation, the most important instrument for regulating of public relations. In accordance with the Constitution, the Altai Republic has its own state symbols: flag, anthem, national emblem, reflecting the identity and historical traditions of the peoples of the Gorny Altai. On the eve of the 15th anniversary, one hold republished the Constitution of the Altai Republic with changes made during the past period.

Applications for participation in El Oyin national sports are accepted until June 18 by employees of autonomous institution of education of the Altai Republic "High sports school" and the Committee for Physical Culture and Sport of the Altai Republic.

Within the framework of celebration of 90th anniversary of the Gorno-Altai Autonomous Region, one held a scientific and historical conference "History and the present of the Altai Republic". First Vice Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic Jury Antaradonov addressed the meeting with welcoming speech. In his speech, Jury Antaradonov specificated the key historical moments that preceded the formation of an autonomous region of Oyrot people, analyzed stages of further development of our region.
